Dr. Ryan Elkins is a native of Huntsville, Alabama. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University, where he laid the foundation for his career in healthcare. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. Following dental school, Dr. Elkins completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the Birmingham VA Medical Center. During his residency, he received advanced training in the management of medically complex patients and expanded his clinical skills across multiple disciplines, including prosthodontics, periodontics, endodontics, and implant surgery. Dr. Elkins is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centered care with a strong emphasis on integrity, transparency, and compassion. He believes in developing long-term relationships with his patients and works collaboratively to help them achieve their oral health goals. Committed to continuous improvement, Dr. Elkins remains actively involved in continuing education and is a proud member of a local Spear Dental Study Club. Outside of the office, Dr. Elkins enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Rachel, and their daughter, Ellis. They are active members of their local church and love spending time outdoors cycling, running, hiking, and connecting with friends. An avid endurance athlete, Dr. Elkins can often be found training for his next marathon or triathlon around the Birmingham area.
