Dr. Schwendiman began working in a dental lab at the age of thirteen, and continued in the field throughout high school and into college. Born in the great state of Idaho. He was accepted into the dental program at the University of Louisville, where he graduated with his DMD in 2000. Since then his practice has been focused in esthetic dentistry. Dr. Schwendiman earned the prestigious Fellowship position in the Academy of General Dentistry – an honor achieved by only 7% of dentists. He was a founding member of the Dominion Study Club, and a co-founder of the P.U.R.E. Dental Group, a continuing education roundtable. Dr. Schwendiman maintains professional memberships in the Academy of General Dentistry and the Georgia Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Schwendiman is an outspoken advocate for continuing education, and personally participates in more than 100 hours per year—five times the amount required by the state of Georgia. As a former faculty member at the Nash Institute for Dental Learning, Dr. Schwendiman provided instruction in dental materials and esthetic services. He has lectured nationally on several dental-related topics and spoken at the annual meeting of the prestigious American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Schwendiman was a regular contributor to a column, “EFDA,” published in CDA. He has developed a continuing education video in conjunction with the National Dental Network discussing composite restorations. He is a product reviewer for both Dental Product Shopper and Contemporary Product Solutions. Dr. Schwendiman served as a board advisor to Dental Service Group, a large national dental laboratory chain.
