“Dr Thompson's entire staff was great. From Jordan at the front desk to Gwen the Hygienist and Dr Thompson himself. The staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable. I learned a lot about things regarding my teeth (grinding during the night), proper way to floss, among other things. Even though they don't accept insurance, they will file the claim for reimbursement for you, so that's helpful. I have an HSA account that I was able to pay for the services with. I highly recommend Dr Thompson and his staff if you need a dentist. ”

About Dr. Ryan Thompson
After receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center, Dr. Thompson spent a year as a captain in the United States Air Force while completing his Advanced Education General Dentistry Residency. He then spent two more years developing his skills as a dentist in the Air Force. After gaining valuable experience as a dentist in the military, Dr. Thompson furthered his experience as an associate dentist in Sherman, Texas prior to opening Thompson Dental in McKinney, Texas.
Dr. Thompson is an active and accomplished member of his community. While in dental school and undergraduate school, he held officer positions in dental societies as well as captained team sports. He was also awarded multiple military commendations during his time in the Air Force. Dr. Thompson has met his goal many times over to help as many people as possible by attending several dental mission trips over the years and doing volunteer work within his community.
Dr. Thompson is currently an active member of the ADA, the Texas Dental Association and the North Texas Dental Society. In his free time, Dr. Thompson loves spending time with his family and friends and is very involved with his church, Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church. He likes to watch and play all kinds of sports and also enjoys time outdoors cycling, golfing, running and hiking. He looks forward to caring for the wonderful people of McKinney, Frisco, Allen, Plano and Prosper.

My whole family is a patient with Dr. Thompson and we are big fans of him and the entire staff at Thompson Dental! We even moved further away and still drive to make sure our teeth are well taken care of.

My visit at Thompson Dental was a very positive experience. I had several chips in my front teeth and Dr. Thompson and his staff were very thorough and explained my options to me. It was a very simple fix and took next to no time to complete. Dr. Thompson made sure I was satisfied with the results and made a few minor adjustments to get the desired look. I would definitely recommend this dental office to anyone.

Best experience I've ever had at a dentist. My mom always made me go growing up but I actually look forward to my visits now. Dr. Thompson is great, he really listens and gets to know his patients. My hygienist, Gwen, is so gentle. I really feel like she is taking care of me and my teeth.

I highly recommend this team and this office! Dr. Thompson and his team were all very friendly and knowledgeable. My hygienist was a great clinician and made me feel very at ease the entire visit. I ended up needing a crown. I was able to get scheduled within a week. My crown visit was outstanding! I was able to watch Netflix and received my permanent crown the same day! They have a cerec machine that mills the crown right in their office.

I think it is amazing how Dr. Thompson can not only help patients with their teeth but to also help them get better sleep. I wanted to know more about my sleep and took a very easy home sleep test! Come to find out, I have sleep apnea... but I was not worried because Dr. Thompson told me he could help! He made me an oral appliance and I am getting the best sleep of my life! I love this place so much!

Dr. Thompson & his staff are amazing! I began my sure smile aligner treatment and am so happy with the progress! I expressed my concerns in regards to my sleep patterns, took an at home sleep test and was diagnosed with sleep apnea. Once I finish my sure smile Dr. Thompson will be making my dental oral sleep appliance! I cant wait to get better sleep! Highly recommend Dr. Thompson & his staff!
