Dr. K, as she is lovingly called, graduated as one of the top dentists from New York University (NYU) School of Dentistry, earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
She is gentle, attentive, and caring, with great bedside manners. A Bergen County native, she has been serving the Bergen and Hudson County areas of NJ (including Jersey City) for almost a decade. Her extensive dental background is complemented by her devotion to exceptional patient care.
Coming from a family of doctors-her mother is a gynecologist-compassion and empathy are deeply embedded in her. She loves to explain every step and will make you feel extremely comfortable. Try her out; you will love the experience.
Her exceptional dental skills earned her a place in the exclusive oral surgery and implant honors program at NYU. She began her dental career practicing alongside respected NYU faculty, achieving clinical excellence in many major dental procedures.

She is wonderful. Everything is explain to you so you understand everything. She is very caring and listens and answers all your questions. Also, she is very gentle. All around wonderful!! Office staff if some of the best I’ve ever dealt with. Very polite and very knowledgeable as well! I will be bringing my children to see her as well. Best experience I have had at a dentist.

I have to say, my dental cleaning with Dr. Samina Kathawala was the best dental cleaning experience I’ve ever had! This was my very first time coming to their office and it was clean with no wait time! I was seen immediately after I completed my new patient forms! Very friendly staff who made sure I was well taken cared of. Dr. Samina answered all of my questions and cleaned my teeth without having the water drool all over me (how my past experiences were); it was dental cleaning to perfection. I will surely continue coming here and highly recommend everyone to book your dental appointments with them! :)

My appointment with Dr. Kathawala was overwhelmingly positive! This was my first visit. Because I had a surgery with metal plates in my leg, the Dr. informed me that I needed to take antibiotics before the cleaning and was willing to accommodate this even though it was a later appointment on a Sunday. She not only did the cleaning, but got my teeth bonded. I am beyond appreciative of her communication, knowledge, help, time and bedside manner (especially because I am a terrible patient).
I also appreciate the clear communication regarding my insurance coverage and any additional costs upfront! After fighting with my medical insurance for 8 months, I have no energy left to fight with dental insurance too.

Dr K was wonderful! The office is beautiful and inviting. Everyone was incredibly nice and helpful. I wish I found Dr K years ago, she’s the first dentist to help me understand what was going on with my teeth, why I was having issues and how we can move forward to fix everything and maintain. Dr. Stamina Kathawala is a great dentist. Always takes her time and meets any needs or concerns that needs attention. Gave me great advice to care for my teeth. Dr Samina was nice and took the time to explain everything.
They took X rays and dr Samina walk me through my Xrays. The staff seemed very organized. They had my insurance coverage ready and explained everything before they did any work.
Also Dr Samina was very gentle when she my did my cleaning.

This was second visit. I had chipped tooth due to an accident and Dr samina did Dental bonding.
Dental bonding isnt covered by insurance and I was offered reasonable fee. The end result was amazing. I will contine to go here.

I would HIGHLY recommend Dr Kathawala. I was there for my routine cleaning and exam; she was in no rush, took the time to answer all my questions. Explained everything, showed me my X rays. She gave me a clean bill of health that I have NO cavities and NO issues in my teeth.
She seem very honest and very intelligent.
Appointment and reminders were perfect and the whole team seem very organised. They had my paperwork ready, which I have filled and emailed them before hand and when I arrived I had ZERO wait time.

Dr. Kathawala was great; very friendly and attentive to concerns I noted. She addressed them right away. The office was great, in similar fashion with no wait time at all! In fact, they were waiting on me since I was a new patient and had to fill out paperwork. Would highly recommend.

Had a root canal done. Dr. Samina explained everything, was very patient, friendly, after the treatment, I had no pain. Everything went smoothly. I am thankful I found her. She is my go to doctor. I trust her 100%.

Dr. Samina is a very friendly and professional family doctor. She is very patient and all my appointments with her were very smooth. My daughter who was 4 years old got her cavities filed without any fear due to doctor's friendly and patient nature. I highly recommend her for the entire family.

Dr. Kathawala is simply amazing. She is very efficient and skilled at her job. She listen your complain very carefully and explain the issue. She explain the procedure before doing anything. I visited her for routine exam and filling. Highly recommended.
