About Dr. Sandra Vargas
Dr. Sandra L. Vargas received her D.M.D. from the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine Advanced Standing Program, Boston, Massachusetts and her D.D.S. from the prestigious Javeriana University, Bogota, Colombia. Dr. Vargas has completed both the Southeast Regional Dental Boards and the Northeast Regional Dental Boards. Dr. Vargas has completed training with CIRP (Comprehensive Implant Residency Program) and The AIE Implant Mastery Program. Dr. Vargas has also been awarded a Fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Vargas is a board-certified Oral Sedation Dentist.
Dr. Vargas maintains professional membership in the ICOI (International Congress of Oral Implantologists), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the Georgia Dental Association (GDA) and the American Dental Association (ADA). She attends The Hinman Dental and Excellency in Dentistry Conferences annually as well as keeping up on the latest techniques and technologies through continuing education courses. Dr. Vargas has completed courses with CIRP (Comprehensive Implant Residency Program), TeethXpress/BioHorizons Implant Denture Specialization, The AIE Implant Mastery Program, Biomet 3i, Dale Foundation, E4D University, Women in Implant Dentistry, Cerec Cad/Cam, UltraDent as well as courses in Prosthetics, Implants, Dentures, and Restorative, Endodontic and Cosmetic procedures. Dr. Vargas has been trained to treat with Botox Cosmetic and Juvederm to complete her patient’s appearance.
She has dedicated time to volunteer for community service work. Dr. Vargas is a board member of Portal de Salud and a founding member of Together We Smile LLC. Portal de Salud is a local charity that provides a path to healthcare for the part of our local population that doesn’t have the language skills or the education needed to find healthcare.
