About Dr. Sarah Jawhari
Dr. Jawhari is the founder of Demibone Dental Clinic in Brooklyn, NY. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Case Western Reserve University. She completed her general practice residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center.
Dr. Jawhari's background in research and the humanities informs her evidence-based care. She was recognized with multiple awards during her training, including the Delta Dental Leadership Award, the Evidence Based Dentistry Award, and the Robert Dean Feder Award.
Drawn to dentistry for its solution-oriented nature, Dr. Jawhari enjoys teaching patients about preventative techniques or alternative treatment options. She spends her free time on New York's literature and poetry scene. She is also a proud cat-mom to two spoiled Persians, Poochie and Potato, who get their teeth brushed daily.

Dr. Jawhari was so patient and kind and gentle! The whole staff at the office from the front desk attendant Farah who was understanding when an express train made me a few minutes late, to the hygienists and the doctor are all lovely people. I hadn’t been to the dentist in a few years and was so nervous but got a lot of reassurance from Dr. Jawhari and some functional options for future care. Totally reinstilled my faith in dentistry!! Honestly excited to come back which are words I never thought I would say. Can’t recommend enough.

I checked in and was seen within a few minutes. The dental assistant was friendly and quick taking X-rays. Dr. Jawhari was thorough and quick. She took care to ask my dental habits, explain each procedure, and checked in frequently to make sure I was comfortable. Nothing felt rushed.

I usually dread dental visits, but this team completely flipped the script for me. From the moment I walked in, everyone was warm and made me feel comfortable and never judged. She explained everything clearly and even shared her own experience with similar teeth issues, which instantly put me at ease. She recommended an orthodontist and gave me so much hope about fixing my smile. For the first time in forever, I left a dental appointment feeling excited about my next steps instead of anxious. Highly recommend!

I'm so happy to have come across Demibone clinic. I had my first consultation and cleaning, which was thorough yet gentle, and Dr. Sarah & dental nurse Kathy checked in many times during. Dr. Sarah took the time to walk through (and explain!) my x-rays, and propose a plan of action for 1 or 2 things she felt needed treatment. Lovely clean & pretty clinic!
