About Dr. Scott Keys

Dr. Keys is a highly experienced dentist with a career spanning over 30 years. After graduating from LSU School of Dentistry in 1996 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), he decided to settle in his home state of Louisiana. He initially worked as an associate dentist in Shreveport, Louisiana and in 1999, he opened his own private practice in Bossier City, where he grew up. Throughout his career, Dr. Keys has been dedicated to continuing education, completing over 3,000 hours in various dental disciplines since his graduation in 1996. His primary field of expertise includes Cosmetic Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Dentistry, Surgical Placement and Restoration of Dental Implants, Guided Bone Regeneration Procedures, Occlusion and TMJ Therapies, and Practice and Business Management. He has studied under prominent dental professionals like Frank Spear, John Kois, and Michael Schuster. Dr. Keys’ leadership roles include serving on the Advisory Board for River Cities Study Club and as a Spear Study Club Leader. He also taught continuing education courses across the U.S. as a Subject Matter Expert and Faculty Member for the PDS Institute, earning recognition as Faculty Member of the Year in 2016. An avid bow hunter and competitive archer, Dr. Keys moved his practice to New Braunfels, Texas, in 2012 and later to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, where he established Colorado Dental Co in 2020. He currently operates practices in Idaho Springs and Winter Park, Colorado, and holds active dental licenses in Louisiana, Texas, and Colorado. Dr. Keys enjoys traveling, skiing, hunting, golfing, and spending time with his family. He is married to Jennifer, aka “Jay”, who works alongside him in their dental practices, and is the proud father of three daughters, Kinley, Avri, and Braelyn, and Jay’s son, Ragan.
