About Dr. Shira Bernstein

Dr. Shira Bernstein was born and raised in Long Island. She has had a love for orthodontics ever since she was a young girl, going through her own orthodontic treatment. She then went on to attend NYU College of Dentistry, where she graduated at the top of her class and was inducted into the OKU Honor Society. She was proud to continue her academic journey at NYU, where she completed her Orthodontic residency. During her residency, Dr. Bernstein treated many complex surgical cases, and is well trained in the use of mini-implants or temporary anchorage devices (TAD’s). Dr. Bernstein takes pride in getting to know each of her patients personally. To Dr. Bernstein Orthodontics is about much more than straight teeth - she is passionate about creating positive changes in people’s lives, and loves seeing the confidence and self-esteem that develops through creating a beautiful and healthy smile!
