Dr. Pokhrel cares for your soul as much as your smile, because she believes the two are fundamentally interwoven. Her joint passions for dentistry and mindfulness inspire her treatment philosophy, and she believes in crafting unique smiles that are able to tell their own stories.

Great atmosphere, timely and attentive staff, great communication before and during visit (forms, admin, etc), and the doctor herself was excellent - very warm and communicative, and just plain good at her job. Everything was great as always!
The office is very clean, covid-19 safety measures are thorough (way better than 2 other dental practices I had to go to for various reasons), and they are always caring.
I’ve never left so many reviews for a single business — but they really deserve it!
I always forget about the massage chair and it’s a good surprise every time I go there: this is so neat!

This is by far the best dentist experience I’ve had in my life. The office space / environment is sensational. The staff was incredibly nice and professional. The chair was making massages while the cleanup was happening and the dental clean up was extremely comfortable. The doctor also took the time to answer all my questions with care and to wrap it all up they gave me a gift when I finished. If you’re looking for a “nice” dentist in SF then you’ll have to settle for exceptional.

I hadn't been to the dentist in way too long but the staff at Zen Dental put me at ease. Things were explained clearly and the cleaning felt comprehensive. They only recommended treatments that I requested or needed. Highly recommend!

It was my first dentist experience in San Francisco. I decided to go there with good reviews from here. I got a dental cleaning from the assistant and he was okay.
I met Dr. Srijana after the cleaning and she checked one more time my teeth and found stains on my front teeth and cleared it magically! It was my stress since it's front teeth but now I can smile without worrying:) She was kind and cared for patients!

Dr. Pokhrel, Virginia and the staff at Zen Dental Studio were amazing! The office was super clean, comfortable, and very relaxing. It honestly was more like being at a spa than a dental office! My appointment was on time (I actually was taken early) and all my questions were answered. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone in the Bay area.

I was way overdue for a dentist visit due to anxiety. The team had warm personalities and made me feel very comfortable from beginning to end. The facility was beautiful, clean, and a comfortable temperature.The massage chairs were a huge plus! Best experience in every way that I’ve had in a dentist office. Dr. Pokhrel was amazing! Count me in the camp of people who don't meditate and who initially thought the concepts of zen and dentistry couldn't mix... but I was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming, warm, and friendly everyone was. I got free matcha upon arriving and was able to watch Netflix with headphones (as opposed to lame TV commentary) during the entire cleaning. I've definitely been to many dentists over the past decade moving between cities, but she and her team are definitely the best to date!

I saw Dr. Pokhrel for a cleaning first : it’s the first time in my life I barely experience any pain for a dental cleaning (and I’m very sensitive to pain when it comes to my teeth) - and the cleaning was perfect : amazing !
Then I came to see her to replace an old amalgam filling with a composite one : Dr. Pokhrel took the time to answer my concerns regarding mercury leaks or vapor inhalation and was extremely careful when removing it (with a special device to prevent metal pieces from being swallowed and vapors from being inhaled).
I expected to have to take painkillers when the local anesthesia faded : absolutely no need, no pain at all (just a light cramp in the jaw but that’s it).
It’s incredible how careful Dr. Pokhrel was - not to mention the relaxing chair, great staff, and you can also relax by watching a Netflix program of your choice while she’s doing the heavy work !
I highly recommend Dr. Pokhrel, if you go see her there’s no doubt you’ll get the best possible care in a relaxing atmosphere.

Going to the dentist can be awful. However Dr. Pokhrel is truly different. She has great bedside manner, a good sense of humor, and you can tell that she really does care about you and your dental health. Besides, she maintains a regular mediation practice - how cool is that?

I've been to the most expensive and well regarded dentists in the Bay Area, and none of them even begin to compare to the skill, care, or treatment you will get with Dr. Pokhrel. She is extremely compassionate and her passion for dentistry comes across in all of her interactions with you.
