Steve is a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago Dental School (1979). Thereafter, he completed a general practice residency at the VA in Ann Arbor, Ml (1980), and a two-year residency in periodontics at Loyola University of Chicago. He received a specialty Certificate in Periodontics and a Masters's Degree in 1982. Subsequently, Steve and his wife Gretchen, both from Grand Forks, ND, relocated to Arizona to begin his private practice serving Peoria and the Sun Cities. He was awarded Diplomate Status by the American Board of Periodontology in 1988. Dr. Folson has placed dental implants for over 30 years and strongly believes in collaborative and patient-centered care. He truly enjoys building relationships with his patients and the entire Dental Home team. Steve and Gretchen are blessed to have their two adult children and lovely daughter-in-law living in the Phoenix area. Aside from dentistry, Steve enjoys family vacations in Northern Minnesota on Lake Bemidji, gardening, college football, movies, and their two terriers, Oliver and Max.
