About Dr. Steven Berkowitz
Dr. Steven Berkowitz is a Periodontist specializing in treatment of gum disease, cosmetic gum treatments, and replacing missing teeth with dental implants. Dr. Berkowitz takes great pride in his work – and great care of his patients.
An alumnus of Towson University in Maryland, he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. Dr. Berkowitz remained at UMB to pursue postgraduate studies in periodontics and earned a Master of Science. He has been honored with awards from the Northeast Society of Periodontics and the International College of Dentists. Dr. Berkowitz has lectured on the importance of periodontal health, cosmetic smile enhancement, and dental implants.

This is a super late review (for which I apologize!). But, Dr. Berkowitz is super professional, helpful, and straightforward. He was able to assess quickly and give me lots of information. One of the most eye-opening things was that I'd been grinding my teeth at night! I had no idea that I'd been doing that - what a change it was when I got the nighttime bite guards! Thank you!

I had a very pleasant visit with Dr Berkowitz. I had an early morning appointment and was quickly ushered into the chair after I did the paperwork, and Dr. Berkowitz did an in-depth examination and cleaning himself. He was very welcoming and kind, as well as obviously knowledgeable about dentistry - he explained much as he went, which put me at ease. I look forward to continuing to be his patient.
