About Dr. Steven Wong
Dr. Steven Wong, a San Francisco native, is a General Dentist proudly serving his patients as well as the community. While earning his undergraduate degree at U.C. Davis, he dabbled in barbering for fun, an experience that led him to discover his passion for dentistry. After earning his doctorate in dental medicine from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, he further refined and expanded his skillset through an intensive dental residency program at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.
Dedicated to staying ahead, Dr. Wong embraces cutting-edge dental innovations by regularly attending dental conferences and continuing education courses throughout the country. He focuses on using the latest, safest, and most biocompatible dental materials while utilizing minimally invasive dentistry techniques. He ensures that every treatment plan is meticulously crafted to meet the specific needs of each individual patient. Dr. Wong is extremely passionate about dentistry, the work he provides, and treating patients as if they were members of his own family.
When he's not in the dental office, you'll find Steven hiking with his Shiba Inu, shredding the slopes in Tahoe, working out at the gym, or playing basketball. These hobbies are his favorites, but his newest and most cherished title is "Dad" to the most adorable daughter!

Despite me having made this appointment with Dr Wong on Zocdoc, they gave me a different dentist. I chose Dr Wong based on reviews regarding dental anxiety etc so the news of the change was rattling, ultimately the dentist I saw was fine if a little lacking in empathy. The office experience was a little disappointing, during the cleaning I was in pain at many points and didn’t feel the hygienist adequately checked in about my comfort. Then I waited quite a while after my cleaning before the dentist saw me. Overall I’d say if you’re someone with a negative history with dentists such that you benefit from some extra sensitivity and care, this is not the best place to go.
