He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry Dr. Pennington has extensive experience in general dentistry, oral surgery, and hospital-based care. He completed advanced oral surgery internships at the University of Missouri–Kansas City and Parkland Memorial Hospital/UT Southwestern, where he trained in complex surgical procedures, anesthesia, trauma management, and full-arch treatment workflows. He has served patients in multiple Oregon communities as both a general dentist and exodontist and continues to advance his expertise through specialized implant training, including the Zest Mastership Full Arch and Implant Pathways Fast Track programs. Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Pennington has contributed to published research in immunology and dermatologic inflammation and presented his work at national conferences.
