Dr. Penny Laowansiri is a dedicated orthodontist who believes in the life-changing impact of a healthy, confident smile. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree with honors before beginning her orthodontic residency at the Center for Advanced Dental Education at Saint Louis University. There, she completed her Master of Science in Dentistry and Certificate in Orthodontics. Her master’s thesis, “Maxillary Growth and Maturation during Infancy and Early Childhood,” was published in Angle Orthodontist in November 2012, contributing valuable research to the field. Well-versed in a wide range of orthodontic techniques and technologies, Dr. Laowansiri has experience with traditional orthodontic appliances, functional appliances, ClearCorrect® and other clear aligners, soft tissue laser therapy, and temporary anchorage devices (TADs). She also expanded her clinical training through a fellowship in cleft lip and palate at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.Dr. Laowansiri’s treatment philosophy centers on comprehensive orthodontic care for patients of all ages. She focuses not only on creating beautiful smiles, but also on supporting proper facial growth and development. Treating every patient with the same care and respect she would expect for herself is at the heart of her practice. She is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, and Florida Association of Orthodontists.Outside the office, Dr. Laowansiri enjoys working out at the gym, practicing Pilates, cooking, traveling, and spending cherished time with her young nephews. She is fluent in both English and Thai.
