About Dr. Wajih Chammae

Dr. Chammae attended dental school at New York University College of Dentistry and graduated in 2014, going on to complete a one-year residency at Jamaica Hospital in Jamaica, New York. He also completed an implant logistics internship in 2017 with Implant Direct, where he received advanced training in restorative and implant dentistry. He has been practicing in the area for over seven years. His chief goal is to restore oral health and smiles in every patient he sees, and he participates in continuing education on an annual basis to make sure he can attain those goals.
In his free time, Dr. Chammae enjoys playing basketball and spending time with friends and family

I visited the doctor after reviewing on Zocdoc. The overall experience didn’t start well. Front desk couldn’t verify my insurance information and wasn’t very friendly and cooperative. It took a while to see doctor due to insurance verification. Doctor came by as soon as my X-ray results were in. I informed him previous consultation and recommendations I received. He was honest and personable with his recommendation and helped me decide which route to go. Especially when he had the same situation himself, made it easier to connect. Office manager then came to help me understand the treatment plan and answered questions. Besides the first impression I’ve had to start the visit, my visit experience had improved.

The appointment was next day on a Saturday when most dentists were closed. I couldn’t sleep I was in so much pain! They saw me early the very next morning and I didn’t have to wait long at all- they keep their appt times. The dentist explained everything and more than I needed but left the decision to me. Because I knew they didn’t take my insurance, they discounted my price for a cash payment. He was quick, thorough, & explained what to expect during the treatment. The office has awesome & helpful people & a very clean office. Expensive for me, but I would definitely go there again if needed. They wouldn’t disappoint!

I'm definitely going back. The staff and doctor are friendly and they played a movie for my kids in the waiting area so I could go back in the room by myself. Lastly, I loved being around the racially and ethnically diverse staff!
