About Dr. Walid Ben Aissa

Dr. Walid Benaissa earned his doctorate from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2004. He is passionate about helping others and enthusiastic about always continuing his dental education to keep abreast of the new services, philosophies, and especially state-of-the-art technology which he fervently brings to our practice to increase the quality and comfort of your care. In addition to his general dentistry credentials, Dr. Benaissa accomplished the Maxicourse at the New York University of Dental Medicine. This broadened his experience with occlusion (how teeth) fit together when you bite), dental implant restoration (abutment and crown phase), and full-mouth reconstruction. As a dentist in Newton Center, Dr. Benaissa is honored to help his patients by providing a wide variety of treatment options for their oral health needs.

The staff seemed friendly but the messages they were communicating were passive aggressive. The actual dentist I saw was fine but the hygienist was unpleasant. It was the roughest cleaning I’ve ever had. She sprayed water all over my face. I was told that I needed to do a deep cleaning (with novocaine and all) and was expected to agree to it and get it done right there. I was given a price quote and handed a pen to sign. I declined due to the estimate being very high. They offered a payment plan which was still high. They reluctantly agreed to do a regular cleaning, made purchase a very expensive special toothpaste & mouthwash, and suggested I get “better insurance”. I have no prior history of gum disease. I’m going elsewhere to get a second opinion. And hopefully receive more gentle and pleasant care.
