"The new office address was a little confusing for my GPS so I arrived 5 mins late on my first visit. Usually I try to get to my appointments early so I understand if it takes a little longer to be seen when late on the first visit. I started to wonder why people who came in after me were seen first, but soon after I was called back by the office manager. She was very apologetic and kind and said there had been a mistake made with my chart and/or appointment and she was very sorry I had waited so long. Just the fact that she acknowledged my wait was enough for me to move past the issue and feel better about this new doctor. Dr. Sandhu came in shortly after and he, too, noticed my appointment time and was shocked at the length it took to be seen (approaching 50 mins when he came in). He was very apologetic and even asked the office manager, "What happened? That is unacceptable!" and then he turned back to me and reassured me that he would spend as much time as needed and that in the future I would not see a wait like that as it is not his office practice. He was very understanding about my misc. items I had come in for. He showed genuine concern for two moles that I, too, have been concerned about. one of which was dismissed two years back by another dermatologist. He ended up biopsing both today. I also mentioned a strange condition I sometimes get on my left foot. It's been undiagnosed for nearly 20 years. After listening to me describe the symptoms (and it was not actually present today to view) he immediately said he knew what it was, showed me pictures, and sure enough he was right. This condition was diagnosed 5 years ago improperly and I always knew that dr had no clue what she was talking about. I feel very confident in his knowledge and ability to treat skin conditions and am glad I made the drive to the far northwest side to see him."
