About Dr. Abdul Haseeb
Dr. Abdul Haseeb is from Vijayawada, India and earned his medical degree from the Deccan College of Medical Sciences. He completed his internal medicine residency training and gastroenterology and hepatology training from the University of Utah. He completed his advanced interventional endoscopy fellowship training at the University of Minnesota. He also holds a master’s degree in public health from Southern Illinois University.
Dr. Haseeb is a board-certified gastroenterologist who specializes in advanced/therapeutic endoscopy, including EUS and ERCP. His clinical interests include early colon cancer detection, benign and malignant pancreaticobiliary disorders, chronic pancreatitis, challenging luminal interventions (large polyp resection, Barrett’s therapy, endoluminal stenting, early esophageal/colon cancer resection), and development of novel endoscopic technology.
He is an active member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, European Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Gastroenterology, and American Pancreas Association.
Dr. Haseeb strongly believes that "patients choose a physician for their medical expertise. With that in mind, my approach to practicing medicine is simple, consistent, yet individualized to each patient. With each visit or procedure, my patients can expect a good listener, evidence-based medical care, and a promise to provide the latest advances. Trust remains an important cornerstone of my relationship with patients, as many are living with the burden of chronic illness and have seen several specialists along the way. My ultimate goal is to empower each and every one of my patients to reach their gastrointestinal health goals."
In Dr. Haseeb’s free time, he enjoys traveling, reading, hiking and enjoying the outdoors, as well as exploring the food scene around Chicago.

I am suffering with a lot of G.I. distress and I’m very upset that I have to wait 4 to 6 weeks to see him. He gave me a recommendation of taking a peppermint oil capsule before I eat. Well it doesn’t work. now I don’t have his phone number to call him and tell him. I gave a stool sample several days ago and I haven’t received the results. I want to know what’s going on. I need to do something about it right away. I’m suffering.

Since 2007, doctor after doctor, finally one that new of my conditions and had knowledge of them and literally nailed ot before I even said anything. He didn't rush and listened to everything. I am a very complex case and he didn't seem to have a problem, unlike others, to take me on. This was just my first visit too. He placed test and said we would get to know each other. I left feeling like finally for for once in years instead of leaving upset with a sense of doom.

He took the time to sit with me and go through all my history and presenting symptoms. Past doctors had been dismissive, but Dr Haseeb made me feel heard. He laid out a multi-step plan to figure out the root of the problem. Very grateful to have finally found a provider that is knowledgeable and empathetic, and values his clients as people and not just as numbers.
