Getting to know Dr. Abel Bumgarner

I have earned my medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and completed psychiatry residency training at the University of Maryland and Sheppard Pratt Hospital in Baltimore. I have additional training through a fellowship at The Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt Hospital and through a training fellowship in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation at Duke University. I have treated patients in private practice, community psychiatry, crisis residential, and psychiatric urgent care. I have worked with patients who suffer from a wide variety of psychiatric disorders. I currently see adult patients with a focus on treatment of mood disorders, depression and anxiety.
