About Dr. Adam Altman
Since beginning his practice in 2014, Dr. Altman has been dedicated to patient-centered care, emphasizing education and empowerment. In 2016, he earned certification in the McKenzie Method (Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy MDT), a globally recognized approach for assessing and treating musculoskeletal disorders. His commitment to excellence led him to complete the McKenzie Diploma Program in Austin, Texas. After passing the Diplomate Exam in January 2023, he now serves as Probationary Faculty with the McKenzie Institute, contributing to the advancement of evidence-based spinal care.
Dr. Altman currently practices in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood, where he helps patients manage chronic and acute pain through customized, non-invasive treatment strategies. His expertise includes myofascial release, acupuncture, cupping therapy, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) such as the Graston Technique, and personalized rehabilitation programs.
With a special interest in working with athletes including endurance athletes, Olympic lifters, CrossFit competitors and golfers. Dr. Altman helps individuals optimize performance, recover from injuries, and prevent future setbacks.

I've seen Dr. Altman and the team here for quite some time. They have helped me with everything from back to knee to wrist pain (and even more). Sincere care that's always catered to me, doctors who actually listen, and information and exercises I can take home to address issues proactively. My quality of life has greatly improved.

Dr. Adam Altman at Synergy is incredible. He takes the time to really understand what is causing the issue rather than just treating symptoms, and his knowledge of the McKenzie Method has made such a difference in how I manage pain and movement.
I also love that Synergy offers so much more than chiropractic care in one place. I’ve been able to incorporate the cold plunge, infrared sauna, massage, and acupuncture into my routine, which has been amazing for recovery and overall wellness. The whole team is welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping you feel your best.
