Getting to know Adedayo Dansu

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based mental health care for individuals from ages 7–65. I specialize in helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, mood disorders, and major life transitions. I believe mental health care should feel safe, supportive, and free from judgment. My approach is centered on truly listening to my patients, understanding their unique experiences, and partnering with them to create individualized treatment plans that support long-term healing—not just symptom management. Whether you are starting treatment for the first time or looking for a provider who takes the time to understand you, my goal is to help you feel empowered, hopeful, and better equipped to function in your daily life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

New patients should know that I take a thoughtful, non-judgmental approach to care and prioritize listening and understanding before making recommendations. Our first visit focuses on your concerns, goals, and history so we can create a treatment plan together that feels supportive, realistic, and tailored to you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first appointment focuses on getting to know you. We’ll review your concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, current medications, and treatment goals. I take time to listen carefully and answer questions so you feel understood and supported. Together, we create a personalized treatment plan. This may include medication management, brief psychotherapy, education, and practical coping strategies. I believe in shared decision-making, so recommendations are always discussed collaboratively. Follow-up visits focus on progress and adjustment. We review how you’re feeling, assess effectiveness and side effects, and make thoughtful adjustments as needed. Appointments are structured, focused, and paced to support stability and long-term improvement. Care is ongoing and flexible. I offer secure telehealth visits with early morning and evening availability to make mental health care accessible and consistent.
