About Dr. Adisa Mujkic
Dr. Adisa Mujkic received her medical degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in Manhattan. She completed her residency training at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York, a teaching affiliate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Mujkic received comprehensive training in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, including trauma, reconstructive surgery, and diabetic limb salvage. She served as Chief Resident and completed research on necrotizing soft tissue infections of the foot.
Dr. Mujkic was born in Bosnia and immigrated to the United States in the 1990’s. She grew up in Herndon, VA with her parents and brother. Dr. Mujkic completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia, where she majored in Biology and minored in French. During her time at UVA, Dr. Mujkic participated in humanitarian trips to New Orleans and Ghana.
Dr. Mujkic’s interests include pediatric and adult flatfoot reconstruction, bunion deformity correction, and sports medicine. She is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Podiatric Medical Association.
In her free time, Dr. Mujkic loves to travel and cook. She also enjoys hiking and running with her husband in the great Virginia outdoors.

Dr Mujkic is a great doctor! She takes the time to learn about each patient. This helps both doctor and patient for any treatment and follow-up. Her office staff are also welcoming from the time a patient walks in. All in all, a very pleasant.

During my visit I felt as though she was not hearing what my concerns were. During the visit i explained to her that one of my toes hurt really bad and wanted it removed she suggested cutting it back and I explained that it was not a nail it was skin she would be cutting. I asked her to numb the area and she did not. While attempting to cut back the nail she pinched my skin and caused it to hurt more. Once she was done she got up and left the room and left the door completely open.

Dr. Mujkic was excellent. I had two issues I needed to have addressed. She was focused, listened well and was communicative and extremely knowledgeable. We developed an action plan that I feel very comfortable with. What was surprising is she identified an ongoing issue I have had with both feet for years. After an x-ray, she confirmed the issue and suggested simple off the shelf orthotic inserts with a heavy plastic arch. After just a few days, I have been walking pain free. Something I had previously put up with for years. I would highly recommend her.
