If you plan to use out-of-network insurance, you will be responsible for any costs not covered by your plan. Ms. Akruti Patel is a family nurse practitioner with a keen eye for detail. She holds a master's degree in family nursing from Monmouth University. Ms. Patel sees patients at Saint Peter's Healthcare clinics in Piscataway and East Brunswick, NJ. The office is clean but in comparison to other offices, it’s not very modern. Also, the follow up communication needs improvement. It took a week to get someone to explain my lab results which was nerve wracking. Overall, I’m probably going to start looking for a new pcp and an office that has more things in house.

I took a tele appointment to follow up on my bloodwork. Appointment was conducted on time. My provider and I discussed several issues and came up with a plan to address each one. Very satisfied with the tele appointment and my healthcare provider.

I had blood work done. The practioner called to give me results while I was at work, when I called her back, I left messages but could not reach her after calling back several times. Finally, the results of my blood work were mailed to me leaving me to try to interpret them myself. I have had to try to figure out what the results mean on my own and that is not a good thing nor is it what I would expect from a physical done by a professional. Busy or not, follow-up should be priority.

NP Patel went above and beyond to ensure my father, who was recently discharged from an acute rehab facility, was treated respectfully and thoroughly. We were very thankful for such great service - she surpassed our expectations. Additionally there was another professional who was fantastic as well. Did not catch her name.
