About Dr. Alain Elbaz
Dr. Elbaz graduated from the University of Montreal in orthopedic surgery in 1993. He is American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS) certified, Canadian Board certified (FRCSC) and holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Orthopedic Sports Medicine. In addition, he is board certified in Canada, and Israel. He holds active licenses to practice orthopedic surgery in Texas, Israel, and Canada.
Alain Elbaz, M.D. moved from Montreal, Canada and has practiced orthopedic surgery in Houston, Texas since 1998. He became a founding partner of Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine and North Cypress Medical Center.
Dr. Elbaz has practiced orthopedics and sports medicine with an emphasis on minimally invasive treatment of shoulder, upper extremity, knee, and lower extremity disorders. He is very conservative in his approach. He uses the most advanced, and least invasive techniques. He has routinely performed arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs and arthroscopic Bankart repairs. In addition, he was one of the few surgeons in Houston, Texas that has trained in Lyons, France to perform the Latarjet shoulder stabilization procedure.
Dr Elbaz is a recognized expert in the new field of biologic orthopedics and orthobiologic agents. Orthobiologics is a part of medicine, which uses natural substances, or biologics, from one’s own body to treat musculoskeletal injuries, tendon injuries, muscle injuries, (and) osteoarthritis.
He believes that orthobiologic medicine is going to change the landscape of orthopedic surgery. He has performed PRP treatments since 2003 and then started using bone marrow concentrate and fat as a source of progenitor cells and growth factors. Currently he uses both PRP/PRF (platelet rich fibrin) for most treatments as a source of cells and growth factors. For more complex or chronic cases he will use bone marrow concentrate or adipose tissue (fat).

The X-ray staff was prompt and kind and so was front desk on the other hand I waited to be roomed for almost 1 hour 30 min then I had to wait for the doctor who I saw for about 5 mins His PA was awesome very helpful made me feel better than was the cast situation they need a better financial advisor.
