About Dr. Alana McGee
Dr Alana McGee graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She went on to The Ohio State University College of Medicine to receive her medical degree. She completed residency at the Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies in 2013, where she had extensive training in high risk obstetrics, as well as minimally invasive surgery and infertility.
Dr McGee grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana and knew medicine was in her future from an early age. The daughter of an Orthopedic surgeon, she was exposed to the hospital environment and would often accompany her father on rounds. She has worked to lead by example, as the oldest of five siblings, two of whom are also pursuing medicine as a career. She knew Obstetrics and Gynecology was her path because she values long term patient care.
Some of her personal interests include spending time with friends and family and salsa dancing.

I really like going to Dr. McGee. She is friendly, very patient, and her explanations of things is great. She really listens to me and hears my concerns and helps to alleviate/address them. I never feel rushed or brushed aside, or anything.

What an amazing doctor who was not only able to figure out what was wrong with me but immediately put a plan in action to help me! She never made me feel rushed and listened to my list of symptoms and past history and was able to figure out what I needed. She also is super nice and extremely knowledgeable! She explained to me what was happening in a way that I could understand and gave me several treatment choices and let me know which one she would choose based on my previous history with medications . She will definitely be my doctor going forward!!

When visiting this new OB-GYN after having not so friendly experiences in the past, I didn't quite know what to expect. But from the front desk to the medical assistant, to the nurse and the doctor, everyone was friendly and helpful. I felt welcomed as a new patient. The ambiance was even a peaceful.

I delivered my son with them last year April, the experience was amazing. I'm currently pregnant now and will be returning to them. Everything from blood work, ultrasounds are all done in office, which is amazing. I love Dr Ortiz to death, also Dr McGee. My delivery experience was amazing because once at the hospital one of the 2 Dr's are they or either the midwife....... again I love this office and would follow them wherever they go.....

Love this practice! Dr. Ortiz is my primary doctor (absolutely love her!), but I've also seen Dr. McGee on several occasions and Dr. Lewis-Boardman is who delivered our son. The doctors and nursing staff are all incredibly friendly. The women working the front desk have always been professional, warm, and inviting as well. I have always felt respected and heard during my appointments and receive quick responses to any questions or concerns that arise. Would definitely recommend this practice to a friend!
