Dr. Albert Luong is an adult psychiatrist who integrates a warm and collaborative approach to treating psychiatric conditions, aiming to build a strong therapeutic relationship to help patients achieve their goals. In line with holistic treatment, Dr. Luong utilizes both psychotherapy and medication management, implementing a safe, empathic, and individualistic framework to promote healing and wellness. He works primarily with patients dealing with depression, anxiety, stress management, lack of fulfillment, and other life challenges. Dr. Luong completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, majoring in biological sciences and graduating with highest distinction. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from New York University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in adult psychiatry at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, Montefiore Medical Center - Moses Division Hospital. During his training, he served as Chief Resident of the Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Department, supervising trainees and treating patients with a variety of psychiatric illnesses. All state and local databases of your history of controlled substances are reviewed and considered during your initial evaluation, along with all other prescription and non-prescription medications.

Because we accept insurance, we can reduce out-of-pocket expenses and still offer high-quality care. You may not have any cost related to your visit with us, depending upon your insurance plan. Most patients pay a small copay per visit, subject to any deductible or coinsurance that your health plan has. The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services determines appropriate billing guidelines. These guidelines depend on the length of the visit and the complexity and severity of your diagnosis. For this reason, we need to wait until after the visit for the final determination. We then submit the claim to your insurance company. The charges are calculated based upon pre-negotiated prices with your insurance company. Your insurance company will then determine what amount, if any, is your responsibility per your insurance plan.

very good overall experience with Dr. Luong. This was my first time ever seeking professional help since I have held off for so long due to feeling intimidated and scared by all the options and scenarios that could play out.
