About Dr. Alek Mishail
Dr. Mishail graduated from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. From there, he completed his residency in General Surgery and Urology at Stony Brook University Medical Center. Subsequently, he spent an additional year completing robotic fellowship. Dr. Mishail has authored a number of articles in peer reviewed publications and presented his work at a number of national urology meetings. His expertise include robotic and reconstructive surgery, male and female incontinence, sexual dysfunction, and other aspects of Urology. Dr Mishail is a member of a prestigious Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons (GURS). He specializes in penile prosthetic and reconstructive surgery for erectile dysfunction, treatment of Peyronie's Disease, and post-prostatectomy incontinence. He is one of the few specialists who performs a combined operation for impotence and incontinence at the same setting.

I made a speedy recovery because of his adept knowledge of his field and would certainly go back If a similar problem were to arise. However, the waiting room was utter chaos, showing up 15mins early did not prevent me from waiting over an hour for my scheduled appointment

Appointment times are pointless. Everytime I have been to this office, the wait time was well over an hour. Today's visit was particularly useless. After wasting hours there and then wasting more time going to a different location for a CT Scan (that shut down the machine already), I ultimately ended up going to the LIJ emergency room. The appointment at the Urologist was a waste of time and money (I should have learned from my prior experience). I am not sure how this office has a great rating. My few visits were always the same... overcrowded reception area, long waiting times and quick rushed visits with the doctor. A 2 hour wait is not worth a 5 minute talk.
