She attended Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut where she captained the field hockey team and graduated with a degree in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry. Following college, she taught middle school science in Brooklyn, New York through Teach For America and earned a Master of Arts degree in education. She then attended medical school at Weill Cornell Medical College with the goal of continuing to educate and work with children through a career in pediatrics. Following medical school, Dr. David moved to Salt Lake City for her pediatric residency training at the University of Utah/Primary Children's Hospital. Dr. David and her family quickly grew to love Utah. Dr. David was thrilled to be able to stay in Utah to practice pediatrics at Southridge Clinic following completion of her residency training. Dr. David feels that the best part of pediatrics is being able to support growing patients and families. She loves the nuance of meeting each child at his or her developmental level, and loves to partner with families and other professionals to keep her patients healthy and safe. She finds that working with children inspires her to be the best version of herself both personally and professionally, and she strives to treat patients with the care and respect that she would want for her own daughter. She has particular interest in newborn care and breastfeeding medicine. Outside of work, Dr. David enjoys Utah’s outdoors with her husband and daughter. She is an avid hiker and backpacker, having completed trails like the Long Trail, Colorado Trail, West Highland Way, and Annapurna Circuit. In winter, she snowshoes and snowboards, and also enjoys cooking, baking, and gardening.
