Dr. Reyzelman graduated from the University of San Francisco in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in biology. Soon after graduating, he began his schooling in podiatry at the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland. After earning his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, he moved to San Antonio to complete a three-year residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center. During his third year, he earned the title of chief resident. Dr. Reyzelman opened Bay Area Foot Care after moving back to California from Texas. Soon after opening, he recognized the need for advanced diabetic wound care in the feet. This quickly became the focus of his practice and helped inspire him to open the Center for Clinical Research. There, he directs clinical trials for new and innovative treatment methods for a number of chronic podiatric conditions. In 2011, Dr. Reyzelman partnered with vascular surgeon Michael Conte, MD, to open the University of California, San Francisco Center for Limb Preservation and Diabetic Foot. There, they work with other experts in numerous fields to form a multidisciplinary treatment approach for patients at risk of limb amputation because of diabetes. Dr. Reyzelman maintains memberships in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the California Podiatric Medical Association. These memberships help him gain new knowledge and information to use in his clinics and in his research. He displays a true passion in all of the work that he does and strives to make Bay Area Foot Care the go-to clinic for all podiatric needs.
