Getting to know Dr. Alexander Welge
Dr Welge does NOT PRESCRIBE CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES (Adderall, Xanax, Ambien, etc.) in his private practice which is telehealth only.
Dr. Welge provides Integrative Psychiatric Care. He provides Medication Management and supportive Therapy, in the context of a Mind-Body approach, looking at the whole person....mind, body, and spirit.
Dr Welge uses a more personalized, systems based approach, to look at the whole person, mind, body spirit, to improve quality of life, by targeting root causes of one's symptoms, and this includes combining traditional treatments such as medication and therapy, with more complementary therapies to improve gut health, mineral health, mitochondrial health, lifestyle changes in sleep, diet and nutritional interventions, exercise physiology, and enhancing stress coping strategies, with the ultimate goal of achieving true wellness.

Accepting currently: UHC/Optum - NY, NJ, PA. Superbills will be provided for SELF PAY patients upon request if they have out of network benefits.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Dr. Welge provides Integrative Psychiatric care via Telehealth. In addition to medication management, he offers lab tests, to get a better understanding of your underlying physiology and a look at core vitamins and minerals to identify biological root causes that impact mental health. He offers supportive therapy while getting to know your narrative, while making appropriate therapy referrals targeting your needs. Additionally, he offers a comprehensive look at your diet, relaxation techniques, sleep physiology, exercise physiology and metabolism, and provides treatment that is not habit forming.
