Aloha kakou! My name is Alex, and while I've journeyed far and wide, Hawai'i-specifically the west side of O'ahu-will always be home in my heart. With over 30 years of experience in various aspects of emergency and critical care, including 911 ground and air ambulance services, emergency departments, and austere international settings, I've gained a wealth of knowledge that led me to become a board-certified Family Practice and Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. I earned my Master's in Nursing from the University of South Alabama, which further strengthened my clinical expertise and commitment to patient-centered care. These experiences have guided me to the Pacific Northwest, where I've established my own practice. Here, I offer personalized, holistic care to a select group of clients, grounded in the Hawaiian principles of aloha (compassion), malama (care), lokahi (balance), and pono (harmony). My approach is centered on functional medicine, which focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of health issues rather than just treating symptoms. By combining my diverse background in emergency and critical care with the principles of functional medicine, I provide customized care that honors the unique needs and goals of each individual.
