Dr. Ali Zaidi is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal, macular, and vitreous disease. He was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He graduated with honors from Stanford University. He went on to complete a medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He moved to the east coast to complete an ophthalmology residency and vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the Scheie Eye Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was given awards for excellence in teaching. Dr. Zaidi has published in major ophthalmology journals, including Ophthalmology and Retina. He enjoys world travel and has spent extensive time in Europe, Morocco, Ethiopia, South Africa, and India.
