“Nice office and staff. But long waiting time. I had an appointment and I wait 2 hours to be see by the doctor is insane...The doctor is very friendly and she is asking lots of questions which is a good sign. But the frond desk should not give referral for X-ray to a specific location before making sure that that place will accept the insurance. I received a referral from the front desk and when I try to make an appointment in all 4 location and I find out that they do not accept my insurance. Again lost of my time. This should not be happen if the staff will do a proper job, if you give a referral than make sure that that place or doctor is accepting the insurance. ”

About Dr. Alicia Almendral
Dr. Alicia Almendral is the architect behind the family medicine practice of A. Almendral, MD and beauty enhancements of Monarch Medical Aesthetics.
She is board certified in Family Medicine, with Geriatrics as her subspecialty. She completed her residency training at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Yonkers, NY, and did a year of fellowship in Geriatrics at Long Island Jewish Hospital in New Hyde Park, NY.
Completed medical school at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines in 1998 and subsequently did a year of internship at Makati Medical Center. She also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Cum laude) as her pre-med at University of Santo Tomas, and is a graduate of Manila Science High School with honors.
Known as "Doctor A" or "Doc Alice" to her patients, she currently practices in her own clinic A. Almendral, MD and at a large urgent care company in New York. She has a passion for teaching academically and worked as a clinical preceptor to Family Medicine residents at St. Joseph's Family Health Center in Yonkers, NY.
She has attended numerous advanced aesthetic procedure training sessions since 2007 and she continues to participate in many latest anti-aging and enhancement courses to live up to the new and ever-changing trends in non-surgical aesthetic medicine.

This is clean nice small office. Was not crowded but wait time was over an hour. The doctor was professional and friendly. I would recommend this place. The staff lady works fast and is friendly. They accepted my insurance. The assistant did good work when drawing my blood.

The doctors are friendly. However, they will do tests without notifying you that it will have extra cost, and charge you for off-regular hours visit (Saturday), again, not notified it will be extra charge. Called several times/emailed to ask about the questionable billing, no response or action from their side.

Very friendly and very knowledgable. I was able to communicate with her about my medical history and she understood well how that fit into my care profile. She followed up promptly about my bloodwork and explained clearly how my medications tied in to my results.
