Philosophy of care I provide you individualized, patient-centered care that promotes optimal health, compassion and emotional well-being. It is essential we develop a strong working relationship built on trust and open communication that includes evidence-based practices and research. Why I entered medicine I entered medicine to make a difference in the lives of individuals who need support and guidance to manage their health. Medicine has been a lifelong calling and a privilege for me. I remain dedicated to helping patients meet their health care needs through preventative care, collaborative care and effective decision-making. Community involvement I support my community through charities, school engagement, fundraising events and religious faith outreach programs focused on feeding the community and supporting food banks/pantries. I have also attended community health events to teach the importance of health and physical activity, blood pressure monitoring and blood glucose control and management – all of which enable individuals to understand their needs to stay healthy. Personal interests My greatest joys have been watching our two children grow and spending time with my husband, family and friends. I enjoy Broadway theater, golfing, traveling and learning about new cultures. Most of all I love spending time in the sun by the beach.
