About Alicia Buchanan-Jones
Alicia graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. However, her passion for women’s health led her back to school where she earned three master’s degrees, and then began her nursing career as a labor and delivery nurse. She then transitioned to a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner to better support women in their reproductive health. As a former teacher, she loves being able to help women learn more about their bodies.
Alicia moved to the area from Cincinnati to start a life with her husband, cat, and our three-legged dog. She loves traveling (especially internationally), music, and doing home projects with her husband.

First time going to ob/gyn, and she was so incredibly friendly, professional, and talked me through everything. She told me that if at any point I had pain, she would immediately stop. Super thorough, ordered the labs I needed, and the front staff and nurses were pretty friendly too. It’s a nice little building, it gets bigger when you go through the halls to the patient rooms. Clean. I am glad I found her on ZocDoc. Thanks Alicia!

I absolutely LOVE her!! I can’t imagine going to a different doctor. As somebody who has always been nervous about doctor’s appointments and hospitals I highly recommend being seen by her! She was great. Listen to what I wanted but gave me information that was need to make the right decision for myself. Didn’t try to push me away from what I want and is willing to help me get what I want. She is friendly and talked to me with ease. One of the best appointments I have had. She also takes into account pain and tries to make sure you are going to feel as little as possible with whatever you are getting done. ?

Honestly the whole experience was very unpleasant, I wasn’t originally going to make north shore my official clinic. The wait time, the way the staff, and the doctor spoke in the manner they did honestly made me very emotional during this tough time as a young new mom. The only kind person was the lady in the back helping me fill out my Medicaid. I will NOT go back.

I’m so glad I had the chance to be seen by her back in November. I’m usually nervous when it comes to going to doctors visits but she has been one of the best doctors I’ve ever had!!
