Hi, I’m Dr. Allison Rowell. I am a psychiatrist who went to medical school and finished my residency at Morehouse School of Medicine. I also have a business degree from Georgia Tech and spent many years working as a nurse. My approach to care is simple: I look at the whole person, not just the symptoms. I combine my medical knowledge with my experience as a nurse and leader to provide care that is clear, organized, and focused on you. I specialize in helping adults with things like anxiety, depression, and trauma, and I have a special place in my heart for supporting women’s mental health and wellness during and after pregnancy.
Having worked in healthcare for a long time before becoming a doctor, I know how important it is for care to be easy to understand. I want to make sure you feel heard and supported. I work hard to create a calm space where we can talk openly and honestly. My goal is to use what I know to help you feel more in control of your life and your health.
Through video visits, I offer a convenient and safe way for us to meet that fits right into your busy schedule. I focus on finding the right balance with medications and providing steady support. I truly want to be a partner in your journey and help you feel like yourself again.
When I’m not working, I enjoy staying active and finding ways to keep my own life balanced. I also stay involved with professional groups and keep up with the latest research so I can always give my patients the best care possible.

My practice is designed to be straightforward and accessible, focusing on providing clear explanations and a steady path forward through convenient video visits. Most importantly, I am dedicated to listening to your unique story and working together to build a treatment plan that helps you feel like yourself again.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
My process is designed to be clear and helpful from our very first meeting. We start with a full evaluation where I listen to your story and look at your health history to understand exactly what you are going through. From there, we build a personal plan that usually focuses on finding the right medication while using supportive tools to help you reach your goals. I believe in open communication and regular check-ins to make sure our plan is working well for your life.
