About Dr. Alvin Bannerjee
Dr. Bannerjee completed his residency in foot and ankle surgery at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and Georgetown University Hospital. There he received extensive training in podiatric medicine and surgery, trauma, limb salvage and reconstructive surgery. He specializes in foot and ankle trauma and sports medicine through conservative and surgical methods. He earned his bachelor’s degree at University of Maryland, Baltimore County in Baltimore, Maryland and earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is an Associate of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the District of Columbia Podiatric Medical Association. He has had previous appointments as a wound care specialist and a liaison director for podiatric surgery residents from Medstar Washington Hospital Center at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He is currently on the medical staff at Medstar Washington Hospital Center, Medstar Georgetown University Hospital, George Washington University Hospital, and Medstar Lafayette Surgery Center. Dr. Bannerjee is native to the area and grew up in Columbia, Maryland. He is the father to two young very energetic kids. In his spare time, Dr. Bannerjee enjoys running, biking, hiking, and traveling to new areas with his family.

I arrived just prior to my appointed time, signed in, and was greeted in a friendly and professional manner by the office staff. Within 10 minutes of my arrival I was seen by the doctor. All questions were answered and all issues were resolved. I highly recommend their practice! One of the most efficient and pleasant doctor's visits I've had.

I had a great experience with Dr. Bannerjee! He was friendly and made me feel comfortable during my visit. During my procedure he also regularly checked in with me to make sure I was okay. A bonus, is that all of the staff were super nice!! From the front desk people to the nurses to Dr. Bannerjee himself. Would recommend!

I'm putting in this review for an old appointment because ZocDoc won't let me correct a review that went in incorrectly on my last appointment. I clicked on 5 stars, but ZocDoc only registered 3 and I can't find a way to correct it. Dr. Bannerjee is great and I recommend him to anyone.

I'm never going back! These folks charged me more than my rent to try and remove three warts -- two of which weren't removed. So, one wart gone and one massive bill.
I think doctors' responsibility of care extends to responsible pricing. I wasn't told about it beforehand, and three calls to the service center all resulted in promises to call back which weren't kept. The doctor was polite in the office, but the charge and the refusal to address it was just awful.

Great Doctor! He helped me get a long term plan to manage my foot pain and to reduce the possibilities of flare ups. Great communicator. I appreciated he listened and believed I needed care. Often times as a black woman you can be made to feel like you are ridiculous or making up pain but he helped isolate the cause and got me treated!
