About Dr. Alvin Martinez
Dr. Martinez was born in Managua, Nicaragua and was raised in South Florida, graduating from Miami Sunset Senior High School in Kendall in 1998. He attended Miami-Dade Community College and the University of Miami for his undergraduate education. In 2008, he received his degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Martinez completed his postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut in 2014.
Dr. Martinez is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He enjoys Obstetrics, but his true passion is for Gynecologic surgery, especially minimally invasive procedures. Getting to know his patients and taking the time to listen to, counsel, and educate them is extremely important to him. Dr. Martinez is fluent in English and Spanish.
Dr. Martinez is happily married to his high school sweetheart, Stephanie, and they have two sons, Alexander George and Adrian Edward. When he is not taking care of patients, Dr. Martinez enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, hiking, watching and playing sports, attending sporting events, concerts and Broadway shows, exercising, reading, learning history, and photography.

Felt very comfortable in the office. Stephanie was at the front and was very kind and answered a couple of questions that I had. Dr. Martinez is welcoming, thorough, and commutative. The office is a bit far from me and I was hesitant if I was going to be able to continue seeing him but the drive is worth it to be in good hands.
