About Dr. Amanda Kulberg
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Dr. Amanda Kulberg knew she was meant for the field of optometry since she was a little girl needing eyeglasses as early as third grade. Dr. Kulberg has a strong interest in specialty contact lenses and myopia control management. She states, "Near-sightedness is becoming more prevalent, and the complications that come along with it are life-long; we need to catch it while the patient is young and aggressively treat it to prevent it from progressing." Fluent in English and Russian, Dr. Kulberg is eager to treat and manage patients of all ages to improve and maintain their overall ocular health.
Dr. Kulberg graduated from Macaulay Honors College at Brooklyn College with Summa Cum Laude honors and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry. She earned her Doctor of Optometry from SUNY College of Optometry, where she was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa Honors Society and received the Eschenbach Low Vision Award.

I always check reviews of any kind of provider before seeing them and this time, easily, the best reviewed provider I found was clearly worthy of the reviews. Dr Kulberg is extremely knowledgeable, extremely friendly and respectful, patient, and conscientious abt asking questions and making sure she is checking for every possibility. It takes a lot for me to actually write a review rather than just give a rating, but I am a big believer that ppl shd know when someone is rly actually good at their craft and pleasant to deal with. Also they gave me a water and I was mad thirsty.

Extremely kind and attentive, Dr. Kulberg explained to me (someone who's never had to get glasses before) every step of the exam and prescription process with patience and humor. I didn't know how to explain the problem I'd been having with my eyes, and Dr. Kulberg took my very muddled description and almost immediately sussed out what was wrong. It's always nice to have a provider that is able to explain what's going on in plain terms, and who really seems to care about making sure their patients are heard and taken care of. I'll definitely be going back.

I have never had a better experience with a doctor than with Dr. Kulberg. I felt extremely taken care of, listened to, and taken seriously. I don't have eye issues often so I was nervous when I booked an emergency eye appointment. I booked the morning of and was leaving to go out of town the next day, so I was super rushed/ She was so thorough, communicative and compassionate to my eye issue. She ended up correctly identifying the issue and even called in the prescription to ensure that I would get it in time. She even gave me her phone number in case I had issues when I was traveling (this is truly above and beyond). Would give her 10 stars if I could!
