He completed his Master of Science in Nursing (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program) at Eastern Kentucky University. Prior to becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner, he received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland School of Nursing. He worked as a psychiatric nurse and a medical-surgical nurse at different private and public hospitals, and long-term care facilities, in the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia. Amara’s practice philosophy comes from his nursing background that emphasizes providing safe, compassionate, and empathetic patient-centered care. He strongly believes in a holistic approach to promote mental health and well-being, and he takes pride in delivering the best evidence-based psychiatric care that is personalized to the needs of each client. Mr. Toure’s education and training include the following. Amara earned his Masters of Science in 2019 in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Eastern Kentucky University. In 2014 he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Nursing. And in 2012 Associate’s degree in Nursing from Prince George’s Community College, Largo. Amara can speak and write in both English and French.
