About Amelia Mohabir
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Pace University, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center (Brooklyn Health Science Center), Class of 2000. I also earned an MBA in Healthcare Administration from Columbia Business School, Class of 2013.
I am a skilled PA with a background focused in ENT, both inpatient and outpatient. I have 17 years of experience in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, having practiced at Mount Sinai and New York Presbyterian. Additionally, I have experience in Interventional Radiology and Vascular Surgery.
I love the specialty of ENT because it allows me to help people with a wide range of problems, from medical to surgical. It is enjoyable to get to know patients and rewarding to help them receive the care they need. With my extensive experience in ENT and Head and Neck Surgery in both Brooklyn and Manhattan, I am able to refer patients to surgeons who are leaders in their field when surgical intervention is necessary.
I am also proficient in Medical Spanish for ENT purposes.

I visited Dr. Mohabir for a persistent ear infection. She was able to identify the issue right away after closely examining the condition of my ear. She listened attentively to me and my condition, provided detailed instructions to my prescriptions, and asked if I needed help with any other ENT condition. Her overall attitude was very kind and caring, and most of all, she did not rush me to end the appointment. I would definitely visit her for any of my future ENT problems.

Amazing doctor, I saw 2 ENT before her, that couldn’t find the cause of my off balance problem, and she immediately understood the cause. Also really quickly to do the various exam, did all the test in the same visit, instead to reschedule 3-4 times like the others

They were so helpful, and kind. I felt like I was in good hands. They saw what the problem was, right away. And, explained my best course of action. My worries, were put at ease.
