Patient reviews for Dr. Amin Khorsandi
He's a great doctor!
He and his staff were very nice, they explained everything so I would understand and really made me comfortable.
The lack of communication and professionalism was extremely disappointing. If you like being billed for services you weren’t told about during your visit or weren’t given a statement for when you left your appointment, go here. I am still getting bills for services I was assured would be covered by my insurance.
I don’t like publishing poor reviews, but I feel obligated because the patient service at this office was the worst I’ve ever experienced. I just recently moved to LA and needed a new primary care physician and a physical. As soon as I arrived I was nearly turned away because the front office told me that my insurance wouldn’t cover the appointment. I had to press them to actually call my insurance company (Blue Cross) and verify my coverage. It took about 20 minutes to settle that, which probably isn’t abnormal, but throughout the encounter I was treated like a major inconvenience. The first person to come evaluate me was the PA. The evaluation felt more like an interrogation. The only time she looked up from her questionnaire was when I told her about a past medical condition - to which she skeptically questioned how that was possible at my age. It made me feel uneasy, and slightly embarrassed. The ultimate worst patient experience occurred after the PA asked me if there was anything I’d like for them to evaluate specifically during the physical. I asked if they’d do a skin check. Before the doctor came in, the PA returned to tell me that if I wanted a skin check, I’d also be billed for an evaluation beyond just the physical. I asked for them to check a spot on my skin that was giving me some concern, a process that takes less than 30 seconds. The doctor’s first priority was to ensure I would be billed for that. That made it abundantly clear that money came first and patients came second. The entire physical was messy and full of awkward encounters. Unfortunately I’ll have to keep looking for a primary care physician because I will not be returning to this office.
Wonderful staff and very informed doctor. Felt very comfortable.
He is attentive and truly cares about his patients. I feel very comfortable and taken care of.
Another good visit for my annual physical. Short, sweet and straight to he point.
Doctor and PA were very friendly and professional. Nice office and short wait time.
I haven’t had great experiences with doctors since moving, but I am so thankful I found this office. I was welcomed by the receptionist who was very friendly. The nurse who drew my blood was incredibly kind and gentle, and Dr Khorsandi was very understanding and took time to investigate my concerns. I went for an annual physical and Dr Khorsandi paid much attention to my medical history and present issues , and I left feeling much more knowledgeable and confident. I’m very thankful. I felt listened to and cared for, and I felt like everyone there genuinely cared about my wellbeing, which I have not experienced by a doctors office for several years.
Very professional and well recommended. Awesome doctor.
Solid visit - didn't meet with Dr. Amin, just a doctor in office who administered vaccinations. Office is small and clean, simple in and out.
The staff was rude and had poor communication skills. The doctor was abrasive and my appointment took over an hour because he was not direct with next steps in my care. The staff wasn’t able to get my previous medical records because they kept spelling my name wrong and refused to listen when I told them the spelling was incorrect. Eventually, I had to just call my other doctor to fax them over. Worst primary care doctor I’ve ever seen, and hidden fees
Very good doctor and a great staff!
I was so incredibly sick that I do not remember what the office looked like, let alone any of the doctors or nurses (sunglasses on, eyes shut, basically carried in...) BUT everyone was so caring and concerned and so helpful. I rushed off to the ER but I will definitely return. Thank you for your help.
Dr. Khorsandi was thorough and asked all the right questions to get to the root cause of the problem.
Always a pleasure and the staff are really the kindest!
Friendliest and most knowledgeable doctor I’ve ever seen.
Very thorough and good
My go to doctor. Always nice, courteous, and great bedside manner
Dr Khorsandi is super thorough and caring. He asks questions most tries to get to the bottom of your problem. He follows up with you even in the evening when he's off work, and doesn't just leave you a cryptic voicemail and ask for you to call back, say btw 4:30 and 5pm or something. His staff is friendly and welcoming. I'm deadly afraid of needles, and when I last needed blood work, his male nurse (so sorry I forgot your name) made sure to distract me while drawing blood and was super gentle: no veins popped (and yes, that happens to me a lot). Thanks for your great care, guys!
Dr. Khorsandi was very patient with me, answered all of my questions and was knowledgeable. He really made me feel like he cared. The office was nice and clean, and I had a short wait time. Great doctor!
Visisted doctor Khorsandi for a yearly physical. After checking in I had asked to use the restroom. Since it was my physical, I needed to give a sample. This is where we hit a snag. The front desk assistant asked me to go down the hall to one bathroom, get a cup, and walk back across the office to the other bathroom as the first one did not work. This was uncomfortable as there was not a place to put the cup when I was finished in the second bathroom leaving me in a very awkward situation. The bathroom also did not have any paper towels to dry my hands. The appointment with Dr. Khorsandi was great, but its these little details and that extra step that was lacking from the staff to make my visit great.
I love that they actually actively listen to you and ask questions. Their whole staff is very caring and sweet too. Highly recommended!!
Wow this was awful. They say they take insurance, but want to bill way more than a typical specialist office visit just for a typhoid vaccination and prescription for antimalarials. I showed them my benefits showing that my insurance does cover typhoid, and they still insisted it was not covered and just outright refused to send it. They charge way more than what the pharmacy charges for typhoid, and won't even bill my insurance?! Utter waste of time and completely rude secretary. Save your time and money and go to CVS.
I got in quick, took my vitals and saw the doctor within 10 mins. Gave me some good advice and were very helpful and professional
professional, listening, caring manor, performed my physical and ordered my tests for me. great doctor will see him again more frequently.
Very helpful, laid out costs in an easy to understand manner, and was really nice.
This was honestly the best doctors office visit I’ve ever had. There was zero wait time, the front office people were very friendly, and Dr Amin was kind and really seemed to listen to me.
Great bedside manner and comes across very knowledgeable and experienced. I overheard him going out of his way to save another patient money on their medication, good guy!
I will definitely see him again. He has a great bedside manner and is very knowledgable.
He was very engaged and concerned, and took his time. He seemed very knowledgeable and thoughtful.
Their front office staff is terrible and the doctor is just as bad. I recently had moved here to LA and needed a GP - this place was close to my office, so I gave it a shot. I have asthma and the Dr. suggested I start using steroids. I didn't want to use steroids and so I kept using my inhaler as I have been doing my entire life. The office filled out a prescription for 4 months (4 inhalers). The initial visit to the office was expensive and each refill is expensive. Once my 4 inhalers ran out, I tried to have my pharmacy contact the doctor for another refill but they refused to refill my asthma prescription and said I needed to come in and see the doctor again and drop some more money on a co-pay. I told them that I had been laid off a month ago and that I couldn't afford a visit, nor did I think it was needed as no doctor I've ever been to has had an issue refilling my asthma medication. But this place refused to do it. Go on Yelp and read his other reviews. As many 1-2 star ratings as he has 4-5 star.
Everyone in the office was extremely friendly.
Dr. Khorsandi saw me with the upmost professionalism, courtesy, and scheduled me promptly without much notice.
The best care I have ever received from a doctor I feel very lucky!
Dr. Khorsandi has a very pleasant team who make you feel very welcomed!
The level of unprofessionalism at this doctors office is beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. I plan on writing to the medical board in hopes of having this office closed and saving other people from being treated like customers instead of patients. I called 5+ times for results to my blood test and they forgot to request the panels and my specimen expired. AVOID THIS DOCTOR AT ALL COSTS.
Second time seeing him, and he's great. Cares about his patients, and thinks in terms of integrated nutritional as well as pharmaceutical treatment.
Very responsive and helpful with questions.
The doctor was so helpful and so kind. This was the sickest I have ever been in my whole life! He even followed up with me twice the next day via phone.
Dr. Khorsandi is a very knowledgeable physician that genuinely cares about his patient's well-being. He has strong listening skills and explains complex medical concepts in layman's terms. Scheduling an appointment is never a problem and his staff is great.
Good doctor but staff is rude
I can say without a doubt that this is one of the most knowleadgable doctors I've seen and I can't be more happy with my visit. Someone who actually is experienced and takes the time to really listen and comprehend your medical history and then order the right tests. I went to three other doctors looking for a primary care physician and they all had side practices or were pushing some other procedure or seemed rushed. I live in Newport Beach and will definitely continue to make the drive up North to see him. They even had electronic forms. Great experience!
Very kind and helpful.
Wonderful Doctor. Listens actively.
Love Dr. Khorsandi! Always listens in a sympathetic and understanding manner, very practical and efficient as well!
The doctor and indeed the entire staff were very professional and friendly. This was my first visit as I'm new to the west coast, and within minutes I knew that I'd found my new primary doctor.
