About Dr. Amir Azer
Dr. Amir Azer has been fascinated with the medical field and always felt that he was destined to help patients achieve their best health. Dr. Azer began his journey at the University of Texas at Arlington where he received a B.S. in Biology. He completed his medical and podiatric studies and obtained his podiatric medical (DPM) degree at Kent University College of Podiatric Medicine in Ohio. Dr. Azer completed a 3-year surgical residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery in Houston, Texas, and worked with some of the best podiatrists in Houston. During his residency, he focused on reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, forefoot surgery, trauma, and diabetic wound care. He also has a special interest in treating sports injuries involving the foot and ankle. Following his residency training, Dr. Azer worked as a foot and ankle specialist/ Podiatrist offering services in the Houston area for 3 years before he decided to move back to the Dallas area. Dr. Azer is excited to be a part of the DFW community and looks forward to becoming more involved with local events. Dr. Azer is board qualified from the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, attending church services, and fishing.
