About Dr. Amir Sharafi
Dr. Sharafi is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician who earned his Doctor of Medicine from Hamadan University of Medical Sciences in Iran. After completing a residency in Urology, he practiced as a kidney surgeon for a few years. Upon moving to the US, he was motivated to pursue a career in Family Medicine and completed his residency at DeTar Hospital Navarro, affiliated with Texas A&M University.
He strives to provide the best possible care and considers himself a “health advocate” who loves working with his patients. He believes it is important to understand each patient's goals and values to work together toward achieving them.
Outside of work, Dr. Sharafi enjoys playing piano, spending time with his wife, two kids, and friends, and exploring different places.

I can say with confidence that the best doctor and the best treatment experience I had was visiting Dr. Sharafi's clinic. And I recommend everyone I know to visit him. I always avoided going to the doctor because the treatment process did not go as I wanted. I am very happy that I met Dr. Sharafi as a family doctor.
