“The doctor I saw was very professional. She was a good listener as she read my chart and asked further questions to help understand my reason for visiting.
She gave several solutions to better help me improve my pain and discomfort. Some of which were covered by insurance some that would cost more out of network solutions if I choose (no pressure just recommendations) which was nice.
The doctor was not only caring but friendly as well as we spoke about other things as well going on in my day to day.
The office was a little small but worked for what she needs to do her job in my opinion. So over all happy with my visit and would recommend this podiatrist. ”

About Dr. Amira Bekhit

Amira Bekhit, DPM, MD, graduated from the College of Medicine, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. Dr. Bekhit worked as a missionary physician and radiologist in Africa for 3.5 years. She then moved to the United States in 2013, where she began a new journey. After successfully completing the US Medical Licensing Examination, she earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Dr. Bekhit completed a three-year residency in Podiatric Medicine and Foot Surgery at NYU Langone Hospital, Long Island, one of the world's finest podiatric medicine and surgery training centers. She served as Chief Resident during her training, which included extensive experience in wound care, trauma, sports medicine, and diabetic foot salvage. Dr. Bekhit is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, qualified by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association.
This unique academic and surgical environment provided Dr. Bekhit with in-depth training in the latest and most effective treatment modalities. She believes comprehensive foot care begins by combining her extensive medical experience with proper patient education to ensure patients have the information needed to make educated decisions. Together, they tailor an individualized care plan that helps achieve their goals and matches their lifestyle through evidence-based medicine.
Traveling has been one of the highlights of her life, offering overwhelming experiences and great eye-opening moments. In her free time, she enjoys baking and spending quality time with her family.
