Amy Davis, ARNP has been an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Family Nurse Practitioner since July 2018 and sees patients full time at Medical Associates of Central Florida. "As a family nurse practitioner, I have been trained to treat the whole family. I can assess, diagnose, and treat many conditions that are presented in the clinic. By working as a team at Medical Associates of Central Florida; we can focus on the special needs of the patients while having the support of one another." Amy is a native of Winter Haven, FL. Her passion and love of Christ is the reason why she has pursued a career in nursing. She is 45 years old; single mother of three children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, grandson, and friends. Amy began her nursing career 22 years ago in hospitals focusing on emergency nursing. She served as the charge nurse at Winter Haven Hospital, working night shift in a busy emergency department. After 12 years in emergency nursing, she transferred to a Medical Intensive Care unit. The two years serving in the MICU, she took care of some of the most critically ill patients. After serving two years in the MICU, Amy transferred to the Cardiac Cath lab where she witnessed patients actively having heart attacks and cardiac arrests and she was able to actively participate in shocking hearts so they would beat again. This experience strengthened her passion to care for others and fueled her desire to pursue her advanced education within nursing. In 2013, Amy decided to continue her education in nursing. Although fearful, she did not let fear take control. She persevered and earned her BSN in 2018. Shortly after; Amy earned her MSN, FNP and is currently pursuing her DNP. Because of her faith and spiritual background, Amy completed a 13-week Faith Community Nursing (FCN) program. This allowed her comfort in providing intentional spiritual care, along with physical and emotional care.
