About Dr. Amy Lichtenfeld
Important Note: Patients must stop all oral antihistamines for 72 hours before allergy skin testing can be performed. This includes (but is not restricted to) Claritin, Allegra (fexofenadine), Zyrtec, Atarax, Xyzal, Benadryl, Chlortrimeton, and Alavert or Loratadine.
Dr. Amy Lichtenfeld is a determined, insightful allergist treating patients in New York City and the surrounding communities. Her primary goal as a practitioner is to make her patients feel better in a way that makes them feel concerned about and cared for. She holds certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology.
Originally from New York, Dr. Lichtenfeld earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She continued her medical education at Lenox Hill Hospital, where she completed both her internship and residency training. Dr. Lichtenfeld further advanced her expertise by completing a fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical Center.
