“It was my first visit and I was an hour late because my transportation company's vehicle broke down, I called the office to let them know what happened and could I still come in because my grandson was going to send me an Uber, they said it was okay to come on in, I thought that was so nice and I really needed to go to that appointment.
The staff was very nice and helpful to me and treated me with respect, they were very polite and professional.”

About Dr. Anand Balasubramanian
Dr. Balasubramanian earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Thanjavur Medical College in Tamil Nadu, India. He then relocated to Peterborough, UK, north of London, where he served as Senior Medical House Officer for Internal Medicine and Geriatrics at the prestigious Peterborough District Hospital. It was during his service there that he developed a passion for Geriatric Medicine.
He moved to the United States for his residency training in Internal Medicine at Coney Island Hospital, affiliated with the world-renowned New York Downstate University in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Balasubramanian is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
Upon completing his residency in 2003, Dr. Balasubramanian relocated to Houston, Texas. He practices in his community, using his advanced clinical skills to care for complex geriatric patients in his primary practice. Additionally, he visits local nursing homes and assisted living facilities to serve the area's aging population.
Dr. Balasubramanian is a member of the Harris County Medical Association and the American College of Physicians. He is also one of the few physicians certified to prescribe medical marijuana for qualifying patients in the state of Texas. For over 10 years, he has been treating opioid addiction with Suboxone.
His office also focuses on wellness and preventive medicine, emphasizing comprehensive care for his patients.
