About Dr. Andra Munteanu
Dr. Munteanu’s philosophy of care is that patients and physicians work as a team whose goal is to achieve the best medical outcome for the patient. She focuses on providing information and makes sure patients understand any medical conditions and the importance of their role in managing their own health.
Originally from Bucharest, Dr. Munteanu cares for Chicago’s diverse community and, in addition to English, is fluent in Romanian.
Dr. Munteanu graduated from Rush Medical College of Rush University and also completed her residency there. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

I had a new patient appointment with Dr. Munteanu and will not be returning. I was turned-off by how she treated the nurses (who were all lovely), and her combative reactions to my mental health diagnoses and psychiatrist prescribed adderall. Overall unpleasant and I wish I had canceled same-day when I read a review on Google with a very similar experience to mine.

Dr. Munteau spoke to me clearly and patiently of what I needed to do in order for me to better care for myself. She recommended my taking vitamins due to the weather.

Great friendly staff and the doctor really makes sure she asks a lot of questions to get to know your history and listens to all concerns. Not sure what the bad reviews are about but she’s not blunt or rude in any way.

Best doctor’s visit I have ever had! Extremely thorough, we discussed my full health history, current lifestyle, and covered everything literally from head to toe. I never felt rushed, and Dr Munteanu has a respectful manner. I also appreciated that she offered treatment plans that were more natural vs. prescription, (pending my bloodwork results), giving me the option I felt most comfortable with.

I really enjoyed my visit here. The medical staff and Dr. Munteanu were so professional. I describe Dr. Munteanu (or Dr. M) as being very accurate and to the point. I like how she gives direct answers and she provides all encompassing health care - which I really appreciate. She does not miss a beat as a doctor.
I really enjoyed her staff and they made me laugh. I felt comfortable from beginning to end.
