About Dr. Andrew Rabkin
Dr. Rabkin graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Boston University, where he was a recipient of the prestigious Thomas M. Menino/Boston High School Scholarship. After working as a research coordinator in the Ophthalmology Department at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Dr. Rabkin went on to complete his Doctorate of Optometry degree from The New England College of Optometry (NECO) in Boston. At NECO, he was honored with the Robert A. Titelbaum Award for Clinical Proficiency and Excellence. Dr. Rabkin has completed clinical externships in many diverse practice modalities, including the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Manchester, New Hampshire, the Naval Health Clinic New England in Newport, Rhode Island, the South Boston Community Health Center, and The New England College of Optometry Center for Eye Care in Boston.
Dr. Rabkin began his optometry career at Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston (OCB), a multi-specialty ophthalmology practice in Boston that is recognized as one of the leading referral eye centers in the country. At OCB, Dr. Rabkin worked along side many of the best ophthalmologists in Boston and developed his skills in ocular disease management and pre- and post-operative care.
Dr. Rabkin then spent three years in private practice at Korb & Associates in Boston, where he had the opportunity to train with Dr. Donald Korb, an internationally recognized dry eye and contact lens expert.
In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Rabkin serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the New England College of Optometry, where he precepts second year students in both the Ocular Disease Principles laboratory and Contact Lens 1 laboratory.
Dr. Rabkin is committed to providing the highest standard of professional care with the latest technologies and building lasting relationships with his patients. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and Massachusetts Society of Optometrists.

I've been to several optometry offices now as I've moved a lot in the past 5 years, and Dr. Rabkin has hands-down been the best. He has high emotional intelligence, was thorough in his examination, and knows his stuff well. My eyes have always been a bit complicated, and Dr. Rabkin knew quickly and exactly how to ensure my prescriptions are comfortable. I would absolutely go back to him.

This is a well-managed eye care office. Every encounter with staff. Was professional and courteous. Dr Rabkin was personable, thorough, and made me feel at ease immediately. He was careful to explain my ocular health status, providing advice about future possibilities for best vision care for me, as a senior. He took time, and I never felt rushed. This is the most relaxed and confidence-building optometric appointment I have experienced in decades!
